RESOLUTION NO. 77-49
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL REQUESTING APPROVAL OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS TO
PERMIT A PARADE WITHIN THE CITY OF GILROY.
WHEREAS, the Gilroy Bonanza Days Committee has requested
to hold a parade on September 25, 1977 at 1:00 p.m., along the follow-
ing route:
The parade route, as proposed will line-up at
10:30 a.m. on Eigleberry Street from Eighth
Street to First Street, than at 1:00 p.m.
will proceed west on First Street (Route 152)
to Wren Avenue and terminate south on Wren
Avenue at approximately 2:15 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the Gilroy Chief of Police shall assume the
responsibility of traffic control during this event; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved this parade and
routing.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Gilroy
hereby and respectively requests the permission of the State of
California, Department of Transportation, Division of Highways to
allow this parade.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of July, 1977 by the
