RESOLUTION NO. 77-50

RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DECLARING
THAT CITY PARTICIPATION IN THE EMERGENCY WATER RE-USE PLAN
SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED BY DAY LABOR AND OPEN MARKET PURCHASING
tVITHOUT BIDDING.
WHEP~AS, the City wishes to participate with the Santa Clara
Valley Water District and the South Santa Clara Valley Water
Conservation District in a joint Emergency Water Re~Use Plan, and
WHEREAS, the emergency nature of the project requires completion
by November 30, 1977; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated project costs can be reduced by using

city force account materials and labor on the projectj
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ~y the Council of the City of
Gilroy that the City shall participate in the Emergency Water Re-Vse
Plan without further complying with Section 1109 of the City Charter
pertaining to bidding on contracts for public projects.
