RESOLUTION NO. 77-53
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRAWI~G FROM THE
GILROY RURAL FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF GILROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION "MANTELLI ANNEXATION 77-4 TO THE
CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 15th day of August
1977, been annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the designation of
"HANTELLI ANNEXATION 77-4 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" the following des-
cribed property located in the County of Santa Clara, State of Calif-
ornia, to wit:
BEING a portion of that certain 22.2 acre parcel of land
as described in the Deed from Anna Schmidt to Maitland
Alfred Chappell and Nettie Almira Chappell, husband and
wife, which Deed is recorded in Book 3976, page 457 Offi-
cial Records of Santa Clara County, California, and being
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1 inch iron pipe at the southeasterly cor-
ner of the said 22.2 acre parcel of land, said point of
beginning being also on the Gilroy City Limit line as
established by Pappani Annexation 76-3, Ordinance 76-16;
thence along the southerly line of said 22.2 acre parcel
and said City Limits line. South 890 50' W. 241.37 feet
to the easterly line of Mantelli Annexation No.1, 70-4,
Ordinance No. 917; thence northerly along said annexation
North 00 10' 22" W. 778.90 feet to the southerly line of
Northwest Annexation 65-1 Resolution No. 959; thence
easterly along said annexation N. 840 14' 1" E. 310.05
feet to a 1 inch iron pipe set at the northeasterly corner
of that certain 10.332 acre tract of land described as Par-
cel One in the deed from Maitland Alfred Channell et ux,
to Edwin J. Valencia et ux, recorded in Book" 6487 Official
Records, page 69, Santa Clara County Records; thence leav-
ing said city boundary South 4 0 34' 30" H. 811. 93 feet to
the point of beginning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 5.0 acres, more or less, and
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy
were at the time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of
the Gilroy Rural Fire District, and the Council of the City of Gilroy
desires that said territory so annexed be withdrawn from said fire
protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory herein-
before described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "MANTELLI
A.T\JNEXATION 77-L~ TO THE CITY OF GILROY", be and the same is hereby
