RESOLUTION NO. 77-68
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DECLARING
SCHOOLS OF THE GILROY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT TO BE
IMPACTED.
WHEREAS, an application has heretofore been filed by the GILROY
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT requesting a declaration of impaction under
the provisions of Gilroy Ordinance No. 77-25, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy fixed October 17,
1977, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall
at 7390 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California, as the time and place
for a public hearing on said application, due notice of said hearing
has been given and -said hearing has been heldj
The Council does hereby find from the evidence submitted with
the application and testimony given at the hearing that:
1. All elementary schools in the district, namely,
Eliot, El Roble, Glen View, Las Animas, Rucker and San
Ysidro, and Mt. Madonna High School are impacted under
the criteria set forth in Section II (a) of Ordinance No.
77-25.
2. If open passage areas are deducted from total
square footage to obtain useable classroom space, Brownell
intermediate school and Gilroy High School are overcrowded
and impacted under the criteria set forth in Section II (b)
of Ordinance 77-25.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Gilroy that all schools in the Gilroy Unified School District are
impacted under the provisions of Ordinance No. 77-25, and the provisions

of said ordinance shall apply in all school attendance areas.
