RESOLUTION NO, 76-20
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
AUTHORIZING PARKING FOR PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED
PERSONS WITHIN THE CITY,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY that
pursuant to Section 22511.7 of the California Vehicle Code, parking
spaces for physcially handicapped persons are hereby authorized on
city streets in areas of parking congestion at the rate of no more
than one space per city block. The City Administrator shall establish
such spaces as he deems necessary, and shall cause such spaces to
be designated as set forth in said section,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 225ll,8 of the
California Vehicle Code, parking spaces for physically handicapped
persons are hereby authorized in public off~street parking lots and
off-street parking facilities owned or operated by the City, The
City Administrator shall establish such spaces as he deems necessary
due to parking congestion in any such off-street parking lot or
facility, and shall cause such spaces to be designated as set forth
in said section.
