RESOLUTION NO, 76-21
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL Of TIill CITY OF GILROY
ESTABLISHING THE MAXIMUM P~TE SCHEDULE TO BE CHARGED
BY AMBULANCE OPERATORS HITHIN THE CITY OF GILROY
WllliREAS, Gilroy City Code Sec. 3A.4 provides that the Council
shall establish and keep on file with the City Clerk a maximum rate
schedule which may be charged by ambulance operators licensed under
Chapter 3A of the City Code and that said rates shall be established
by a Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the rates to
be charged and good cause appearing for revision thereof;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following schedule of
rates be and the same is hereby adopted as the maximum schedule of
charges to be made by the operators of ambulances in the City of
Gilroy commencing June I, 1976, and continuing until such time as
this schedule may be changed by further resolution of the Council:
Basic Charge:
Per stretcher patient
Per sitting patient, if only one (1)
patient in vehicle
Per sitting patient, if second or
additional patient in vehicle
Mileage CharlSe:
per mile
Additional Charges:
Emergency Charge (Code 3)
Night charge (between hours of 6:00 p,m.
and 8: 00 a, m , )
Oxygen (per cyclinder) (or fraction thereof)
Resuscitation
Decontamination (Communicable disease patients)
Waiting time (per 15 minutes after first 15
minutes)
Ambulance refused or not needed upon arrival
Train, plane or boat loading or unloading
Heart Lung Resuscitation (Plus oxygen)
Aspiration equipment
Disposable airways
Orthopedic stretcher (Scoop)
Sand bags
Splints (air)

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 1802, adopted May 6,
1974, is hereby rescinded, effective June 1, 1976.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this rate schedule shall be
filed with the City Clerk and posted in a conspicuous place in each
ambulance and in all premises where said ambulances are stationed.
