RESOLUTION NO. 76-57
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GILROY GRANTING A TAXICAB PERMIT
WHEREAS, application has heretofore been made by Mr. Elmer
Trent to the Council of the City of Gilroy for a permit to operate
taxicabs pursuant to Sections 23.18 et seq. of the Qi1roy City Code,
and good cause appearing therefore.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF GILROY that Mr.
Elmer Trent is hereby granted a permit to operate a taxicab service
under the name of Gilroy Taxi, pursuant to Sections 23.18 et seq.
of the Gilroy City Code and in compliance with his application
attached hereto, until further resolution of the Council and subject
to the following condition.
"As a condition to the conducting of a taxicab business under
franchise or permit from the City of Gilroy, the undersigned
agrees not to assert any claim for damages or loss of earnings
against the Santa Clara County Transit District due to the
operations of the Santa Clara County Transit District in pro-
viding public transportation in any area where the undersigned
is authorized to operate taxicabs."
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of December, 1976, by the
following vote:
