RESOLUTION NO. 75-2
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY APPROVING
A JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT AND COOPERATION AGREEMENT
TO UNDERTAKE OR TO ASSIST IN THE UNDERTAKING OF ESSENTIAL ACTI-
VITIES PURSUANI TO TITLE I OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOP-
MENT ACT OF 19/4 BETWEEN THE CITY OF GILROY AND THE COUNTY OF
SANTA CLARA.
WHEREAS) the City of Gilroy wishes to apply for entitlement
funds under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 by entering
into a cooperation agreement with the County of Santa Clara; and
WHEREAS) said Agreement wi II enable the County of Santa Clara
to apply for and receive entitlement funds as an urban county and to estab-
lish the respective rights and obligations of the contracting parties to
such funds; and
WHEREAS) the City Council has heard read said agreement in
full and is familiar with the contents thereof.
NOW) THEREFORE,I BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Gilroy that said agreement be and same is hereby approved and
the Mayor is authorized and directed to sign the same on behalf of the City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of January, 1975, by tile
following vote:
