Resolution 1975-06 - .. ~:.. . e . ..... ~-, RESOLUTION NO. 75~6 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY AUTHORIZING DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTIONS 34090 AND 34090.7. Upon recommendation of the City Attorney, and good cause appearing therefore, NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that pursuant to Government Code Sections 34090 and 34090.7, the City Administrator and all department heads are authorized and directed to: 1) Destroy duplicates of all city records no longer required. 2) Destroy records of felony arrests without disposition after seven (7) years. 3) Retain permanently: a) Records affecting the title to real property or liens thereon. b) Court records. c) Records required to be kept by statute. d) The minutes, ordinances, or resolutions of the legislative body or of a city board or commission. 4) Destroy after five (5) years all other city records, documents, instruments, books and papers under his charge if no longer required.
