RESOLUTION NO. 75-37
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
AFFIRMING ON APPEAL RESOLUTION NO. 759 OF THE PLANNING
COl1MISSION DENYING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW A THIRD FREE-
STANDING SIGN AT 8655 MONTEREY STREET.
WHEREAS, MARX CHEVROLET-BUICK has filed an appeal in due
form from Resolution No. 759 of the Planning Commission of the
~ity of Gilroy denying a variance to allow a third freestanding
sign at 8655 Monterey Street, and notice of the hearing of said
appeal has been given in the manner required by law and the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Gilroy; and
WHEREAS, the said hearing on the appeal has been held on July
21, 1975, at 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at
7390 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California, and evidence was submitted
upon the said application and appeal from the findings of the
Planning Commission, the City Council finds:
(1) The findings of the Planning Commission are hereby
approved; and
(2) The Planning Commissi.;z" r'~,id not err in denying the
variance.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. 759 of the
Planning Commission is hereby affirmed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of July, 1975, by the following
