Resolution 1818 .- .. RESOLUTION NO. 1818 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GILROY ESTABLISHING APPROPRIATE BASIC PAY PLANS} ALLOCATING THE VARIOUS EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATIONS IN THE CITY SERVICE TO APPROPRIATE RANGES IN THE BASIC PAY PLANS AND TO ADOPT OTHER EMPLOYEE BENEFITS. WHEREAS} the City Council did on July 31, 1972 agree to grant the various employee associations a 7% salary increase effec- tive July 1, 1974; WHEREAS} the City Council did on July 31, 1972 agree to grant the Fire personnel permission to work a 56 hour work week effective July 1, 1974; WHEREAS} the Federal government has established minimum wages as published in the amendments of 1974 to the Fair Labor Standards Act; NOW} THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following em- ployee benefits shall be granted to the City employees and shall become effective July 1, 1974. 1. Salary Range and Classification Schedule (Exhibit A) 2. Basic Pay Plan (Schedule B) 3. Fire Department Personnel presently working 63.5 hours a week shall work a 56 hour week and receive the proper benefits in relation to a 56 hour work week.
