RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY FIXING MAXIMUM
CHARGES FOR THE CO~~E~TION OF GARBAGEJ RUBBISH AND REFUSE FOR
THE CALENDAR YEAR lY/~,
RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Gilroy does hereby
declare that the following are the maximum charges for the collection of
garbage, rubbish and refuse for the calendar year 1975, pursuant to Section
12.23 of the Gilroy City Code;
The maximum charges shall be as follows:
(a) Garbage and Rubbish Collection. Garbage and rubbish in one
container not to exceed thirty-two gallons, the contents not to exceed seventy
pounds weight.
(1) Monthly rate for one (1) can service weekly:
a. For residences, including garden refuse: $2.85
b. For businesses: $2.25
(2) Monthly rate for each additional can: $1.10
For each additional weekly collection, multiply the additional col-
lections by the above basic rates:

(2) On-Call rates are as follows:

$15.00 up to two (2) pickups per
month and $5.05 per pickup there-
after and $5.00 delivery charge.
$21.50 up to two (2) pickups per
month and $7.35 per pickup there-
after and $5.00 delivery charge.
$15.00 per month plus $1.80 per yard.
(Less than one (1) month for one (1)
pickup) $10.00 for 2 yard bin;
$15.00 for 3 yard bin.

(c) Garden Refuse. No Charge. Unlimited quantity in containers
not to exceed seventy (70) pounds or bundles not to exceed four (4) feet in
length and eighteen (18) inches in width.
(d) Genera 1.
(1) Where garbage and rubbish is kept upstairs, an extra charge of
ten cents (10C) per container per collection may be made.
(2) Garbage, rubbish and garden refuse picked up in the alley or
on the curb if no alley exists.
For use of a truck for special hauling of refuse, a charge of
eleven dollars ($11.00) per hour will be made, plus any required disposal
fees.
