RESOLUTION NO, 1859
RESOLUTIO OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY REQUESTING THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA} DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION} TO COMRLETESIGNALIZA-
TION AT THE INIERS&CTIONS OF WREN AVENUE AND WESTWOOD DRIVE ALONG
STATE ROUTE l~L} 0.-scl-152-GIL,} PM g,2} 8,5,
WHEREASJ traffic volumes in the areas of Wren Avenue and Westwood
Drive along State Route 152 has substantially increased resulting from the sub-
stantial commercial and residential developments in the general area during the
past year; and
WHEREASJ present high traffic volumes are posing serious traffic
hazards at these two intersections; and
WHEREAS} the City of Gilroy currently has budgeted funds avail-
able for its share of these projects.;
NOW} THEREFORE} BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Gilroy respectfully requests the State of California, Department of
Transportation to complete signalization of the subject intersections as early
as possible.
