Resolution 1864 " RESOLUTION NO, 1864 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY CONGRATULATING THE SUCCESSFUL LOCAL CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE AND EXPRESSING CONCERN AND AIDE TO THE SAN FELIPE AND HAYES VALLEY WATER PROJECTS, WHEREAS} the Gilroy City Council of the City of Gilroy wishes to extend their congratulations to Norman Mineta on his recent election to Congress from the 13th District; and ~~HEREAS} the City Council also wishes to make known their support presently and over recent years for the two (2) federal projects which they deem to be of a vital necessity to this area the San Felipe Water Importation Project and the Hayes Valley-Uvas Creek Water Conservation Project. Said projects are considered to be of prime importance to the continued well-being of South Santa Clara Valley's agricultural and urban life; NOW} THEREFORE} BE IT RESOLVED that the Gilroy City Council respectfully requests The Honorable Norman Mineta's Congressional support of these needed water projects.
