RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRAWING FROM THE GILROY
RURAL FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF GILROY
UNDER THE DES I GNATI ON "LEAVES LEY NO. 2 ANNEXATION 72-7 TO THE CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 18th day of December,
1972, been annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the designation of "LEAVESLEY
NO.2 ANNEXATION 72-7 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" the following described property
located in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, to wit:
All that real property situated in the County of Santa Clara,
State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the easterly right of way
line of San Ysidro Avenue (40 feet wide) (formerly White-
hurst Avenue) and the northerly right of way line of Leaves-
ley Avenue (60 feet wide) as shown in a Parcel Map recorded
in Book 283 of Maps in Page 53, Official Records, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, said point being also a
point on the existing city limits of the City of Gilroy,
thence S. 650 181 08" W., 449.04 feet along the existing
city limit line to a point of intersection in the existing
city limit lines; thence N. 200 031 W., 221.04 feet, along
the existing city limit line; thence N. 650 21101" E.,
60.30 feet to the existing State of California 4SCLIOl Free-
way Right of Way line as established in Book 9180 of Official
Records, Page 47, County of Santa Clara, State of Cal ifornia,
said by State Grid Coordinate Y192300.77 and X1689016.81
(C.C.S. Zone 3) and as said iron pipe is shown upoh State Map
4SCLlOl, Drawing Number R-l13.7; thence N. 65021101'1 E.,
331.02 feet to the westerly right of way line of San Ysidro
Avenue, (formerly Whitehurst Avenue) 40 feet wide; thence
continuing N. 650 211 01" E., 40 feet to the easterly right
of way 1 ine thereof; thence S. 240 381 59" E., 219.95 feet to
the point of beginning and;
CONTAINING approximately 2.224 acres more or less,
and,
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were at
the time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the Gilroy Rural
Fire District, and the Council of the City desires that said territory so
annexed be withdrawn from said fire protection district.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory hereinbefore
descr i bed and so annexed to the City of G i 1 roy as 'ILEAVES LEY NO. 2 ANNEXATI ON
72-7 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is hereby withdrawn from said
Gilroy Rural Fire District.
