RESOLUTION NO. 1759
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GILROY OF INTENTION TO PARTICIPATE
IN THE ABANDONED VEHICLE ABATEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, an Abandoned Vehicle Trust Fund has been
established to expedite removal of abandoned vehicles in the
City of Gilroy, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 15, Article IX of the Gilroy City
Code meets the requirements of Sections 22660 and 22710 of
the Vehicle Code, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Gilroy to
participate in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City of Gilroy
hereby signifies its intention to participate in the Abandoned
Vehicle Abatement Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract between the
Department of California Highway Patrol and the City of
Gilroy be negotiated and executed as required for participation
in the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of August, 1973, by
the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: DeBELL, DUFFIN, HUGHAN, PATE,
STOUT and GOODRICH
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUCILMEMBERS: SILVA
