RESOLUTION NO. 1632
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRAWING
FROM THE GILROY RURAL FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY
ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF GILROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION "CASTLE-
WOOD PARK ANNEXATION 72-1 TO THE CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 6th day of March, 1972,
been annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the designation of "CASTLEWOOD
PARK ANNEXATION 72-1 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" the following described property
located in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, to wit:
BEING a portion of Las Animas Ranch Lot 16 as shown on that certain
map ent it 1 ed "Map No.2, accompanyi ng the f i na 1 report of the
Referees in the Partition Suit of Henry Miller, et aI, vs. Massey
Thomas, et ai, in the Superior Court of the State of California,
County of Santa Clara", Case N. 5536, and more particularly des-
cribed as follows:

BEGINNING at a point in the southeasterly 1 ine
of Castlewood Park, Unit No.5, Tract No. 4419,
as recorded in Book 233 of Maps at page 50,
Santa Clara County Records, at the intersection
thereof with the southerly line of Third Street
as shown on said Map and running thence along
the southeasterly line of Castlewood Park, Unit
No.5, N. 150 40' 15" E. 10.34 feet to the inter-
section thereof with the southerly line of Third
Street Annexation 70-11" to the City of Gilroy,

from the intersection thereof with the centerline of
Third Street as shown on said Map and running thence
along said southeasterly subdivision line and the
ex tens i on thereof, N. 150 40' 15" E. 448.08 feet; thence

northerly line of Third Street Annexation

beginning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 8.873 acres of land", totalling
therein Parcel A and Parcel B approximately 11.236
acres
and,
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were at the
time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the Gilroy Rural Fire
District, and the Council of the City desires that said territory so annexed
be withdrawn from said fire protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory hereinbefore
described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "CASTLEWOOD PARK ANNEXATION
72-J TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is hereby withdrawn from said
Gilroy Rural Fire District.
