Resolution 1634 , RESOLUTION NO. 1634 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE THE MOST NORTHERLY TEN (10) FEET OF CASEY STREET IN THE CITY OF GILROY LYING BETWEEN SWANSTON LANE AND TO ONE HUNDRED (100) FEET EASTERLY OF SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY. WHEREAS, Casey Street in the City of Gilroy, is one of the public streets in said city and the most northerly ten (10) feet thereof lying between Swanston Lane and to one hundred feet easterly of the Southern Pacific Railroad Right-of-Way is unnecessary for present or prospective publ ic street purposes and should be vacated and conveyed to Pieters- Wheeler Seed Company in exchange for an additional ten (10) foot strip of land along the most westerly I ine of Swanston Lane between Casey Street and Leavesley Road. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Gilroy that it does hereby declare its intention to vacate the most northerly ten (10) of Casey Street in said City of Gilroy lying between Swanston Lane and to one hundred (100) feet easterly of the Southern Pacific Railroad Right-of-Way. BE IT FURTHER KNOWN it is the City's intent to convey said ten (10) foot strip of vacated street to Pieters-Wheeler Seed Company in exchange for an additional ten (10) foot strip of land along the most westerly line of Swanston Lane between Casey Street and Leavesley Road to be conveyed by Pieters-Wheeler Seed Company to the City of Gilroy, a muni- cipal corporation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be published and said street posted as required in the Street Vacation Act of 1941, under which this proceeding is instituted, and the 3rd day of April, 1972, at 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 7390 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California, is hereby designated as the tiMe and place at which said City Council shall hear any and all persons interested in or who RESOLUTION NO. 1634 - I - may object to the proposed vacation.
