RESOLUTION NO. 1641
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY ADOPTING
THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE 1970 EDITION SUBJECT TO MODIFICA-
TIONS AND AMENDMENTS.
WHEREAS, Section 6.1 of the Gilroy City Code, as amended by Ordinance
No. 871, provides that the latest edition of the Uniform Building Code shall
be submitted to the Counci 1 to become effective within the City upon approval
by resolution, subject to possible modifications and amendments; and
WHEREAS, the 1970 Edition of said Code has been submitted together with
modifications and amendments developed and recommended by the Senior Build-
ing Inspector of the City of Gi lroy.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Gi lroy does resolve as
fo 11 ows :
That the Uniform Bui lding Code, 1970 Edition, Volume 1 and the
appendix thereto, shall apply to construction of all kinds in the City
of G i 1 roy.
That a certified copy of this resolution be kept on file in the office
of the City Engineer for examination by interested persons.
That this resolution shall become effective thirty (30) days after
its adoption.
