RESOLUTION NO. 1695
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DECLARING THAT NO ADVERSE
ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS WILL BE CAUSED BY DEVELOPMENT OF MONTE BELLO APARTMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy has adopted interim guidelines for review of
projects which fall within the scope of the Environmental Quality Act; and
WHEREAS, Starlite Homes, Incorporated, has proposed a 69 unit apartment
complex known as Monte Bello Apartments on 4.6 acres north of Third Street, south-
erly and adjacent to the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Gilroy; and
WHEREAS, Starlite Homes, Incorporated, has asked for environmental clearance
from the City and has filed a copy of U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Develop-
ment Environmental Clearance Worksheet and a Negative Declaration has been prepared;
and
WHEREAS, The Gilroy City Council is fully aware of the Environmental Quality
Act and has reviewed said evidence presented and has full knowledge of the site
and proposed development;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the City Council of the City of Gilroy
does hereby determine that Montebello Apartments has complied with the Environmental
Quality Act and that no adverse environmental effects will be caused by this develop-
men t.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of December, 1972, by the following vote:
