CITY OF GILROY
RESOLUTION NO. 1548
PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF NON-CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY OWNED BY THE C ITV SITUATED
WITHIN THE UNINCORPORATED AREA OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the Reservoir "BIl Site, hereinafter referred to as RESERVOIR
B ANNEXATION 70-4 TO THE CITY OF GILROY and more particularly described in that
real property description marked Exhibit liB", is territory owned by the CITY
for reservoir purposes, Is situated within the unincorporated area of the
County of Santa Clara, and is not contiguous with the CITY; and
WHEREAS, on February 3, 1971. the LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION
of Santa Clara County approved the annexation of RESERVOIR B ANNEXATION 70-4
TO THE CITY OF GILROY;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE
City Council of the City of Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State of California
that pursuant to the provisions of Article III, Chapter 1, Part 2, Division 2,
Title IV, commencing at Section 35201.5 of the Government Code, the City Council
hereby petitions the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the County of Santa Clara by re-
questing its approval of the annexatIon of RESERVOIR B ANNEXATION 70-4 TO THE
CITY OF GILROY, as sa i d rea 1 property I s shown upon the t map wh i ch is marked
Exhibit "A", and is more particularly described In that description marked
Exhibit liB", both of which exhibits are annexed hereto, and by this reference
incorporated herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk Is authorized and is hereby
directed to transmit and file certified copies of this Resolution with the
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of Santa Clara County for action thereon.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of February, 1971, by the following
vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Duffin, Kennedy, Pate, Silva, Wentworth, and
Goodrich
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
