RESOLUTION NO. 1549
PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF NON-CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY OWNED BY THE CITY SITUATED
WITHI N THE UNINCORPORATED AREA OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the most southerly extension of Luchessa Avenue, hereinafter
referred to as SEWER FARM NO.3 ANNEXATION 70-13 TO THE CITY OF GILROY and more
particularly described in that real property description marked Exhibit liB",
is territory owned by the CITY for roadway purposes, is situated within the
unincorporated area of the County of Santa Clara, and is not contiguous with
the CITY; and
WHEREAS, on February 3, 1971, the LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION
of Santa C~ara County approved the annexation of SEWER FARM NO.3 ANNEXATION
70-13 TO THE CITY OF GILROY;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY the
City Council of the City of Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State of California
that pursuant to the provisions of Article III, Chapter I, Part 2. Division 2,
Title IV, commending at Section 35201.5 of the Government Code, the City
Council hereby petitions the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the County of Santa Clara
by requesting its approval of the annexation of SEWER FARM NO.3 ANNEXATION
70-13 TO THE CITY OF GILROY, as said real property is shown upon that map which
is marked Exhibit "A", and is more particularly described in that description
marked Exhibit "B", both of which exhibits are annexed hereto. and by this
reference incorporated herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized and is
hereby directed to transmit and file certified copies of this Resolution with
the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of Santa Clara County for action thereon.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of February, 1971. by the following

I, SUSANNE E. STEINNETZ. City Clerk of the City of Gilroy, do
hereby certify that the attached Resolution No. 1549 is an original
resolution, duly adopted by the Council of the City of Gilroy at a
regular meeting of said Council held on the 16th day of February
