RESOLUTION NO. 1552
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GILROY PROVIDING FOR THE CONSOLIDATION
OF THE REGULAR ELECTION PRECINCTS FOR CmNDUCTING THE GENERAL MUNI-
CIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF GILROY ON APRIL 13, 1971,
FIXING POLLING PLACES AND DESIGNATING ELECTION OFFICERS FOR SAID
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION.
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Gilroy, California, that it
is hereby ordered as follows:
Sec. 1. General Municipal Election. A general municipal election has
been called and ordered to be held in the City of Gilroy, State of California,
on Tuesday, April 13, 1971, for the purpose of electing certain city officials.
Sec. 2. Pollinq Places and Election Officers. There will be six
voting precincts for the purpose of holding the general municipal election, con-
sisting of consolidations of regular election precincts established for holding
state and county elections, or a consol idation of some or all of such precincts,
as f 01 lows:

Sec. 3. Notification to Election Officers of Appointment.
The City
Clerk shall notify the election officers of their appointment at the times and
in the manner provided by law.
Sec. 4. Compensation of Election Officers.
Compensation of each elec-
tion officer, except inspector, is hereby fixed at $18.00 for services to be ren-
dered in connection with said election. Compensation of Inspector, for such ser-
vices, is hereby fixed at $21.00.
Sec. 5. Time When Polls Kept Open.
At said election the pol Is shall be
opened at 7:00 o'clock in the morning of the day of said election, and shall be kept
open until 8:00 o'clock in the evening of the same day, when the polls shall be
closedp subject to the provisions of Sections 14436 and 14437 of the Elections
Code.

Seco 60 Publication of Notice of Election Officers and Pollinq Places.
The City Clerk shall cause to be publ ished once in the Gilroy Dispatch, a newspaper
of general circulation published and circulated in the City of Gilroy, a notice
entitled, "Election Officers and Polling Places", said publication shall be com-
pleted not later than twenty (20) days prior to the election.
