RESOLUTION NO. 1557
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRAWING FROM THE GILROY RURAL
FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF GILROY UNDER THE
DESIGNATION "PAPPANI ANNEXATION 70-8 TO THE CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 16th day of February, 1971,
been annexed to the City of Gi 1 roy. under the des i gnat ion of "PAPPANI ANNEXATION
70-8 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" the following described property located in the County
of Santa Clara, State of California. to wit:
BEING A PORTION OF Lots 9 and 10 as shown on that certain "Map of
a Subdivision of the Lands of S.P. Fine in the Solis Rancho, Santa
Clara County. Cal ifornia" recorded in Book "F-2" of Maps at page
46. Records of Santa Clara County and being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeasterly corner of that certain 1.027 acre
parcel of land shown on the Record of Survey for Pappani et aI,
filed for Record in the Office of the Recorder of Santa Clara
County. California. in book 99 of Maps at Page 52 therein;
Thence along the boundary of said parcel of land the following
courses and distances:
S. 50481 W. 300.00 feet; S. 890 511 W., 150.00 feet;
N. SO 481 E.. 300.00 feet; N. 890 511 E.. 150.00 feet
to the point of beginning together with the following
described 10 foot wide strip of land the centerline of
which is described as follows:
Beginning at a point which bears S. 890 51' W., 8.94 feet from said
northeasterly corner;
Thence N. 00 10' W., 136.03 to the southerly common corner of lots
155 and 154 of Tract 4849 "Northwood" Unit No.2.
CONTAINING THEREIN 1.06 ACRES OF LAND MORE OR LESS",
and,
WHEREAS. said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were at the
time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the Gilroy Rural Fire

withdrawn from said fire protection district,
NOW. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED. that said territory hereinbefore described
and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "PAPPANI ANNEXATION 70-8 TO THE CITY OF
GILROY" be and the same is hereby withdrawn from said Gilroy Rural Fire District.
