RESOLUTION NO. 1559
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A GRANT APPLICATION UNDER
TITLE III OF THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT OF 1965.
WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy, organized and existing under and
by virtue of the laws of the State of California (herein called the
"Appl icant"), has heretofore submi tted an appl ication to the Cal ifornia
Commission on Aging, State of California, acting on behalf of the U. S.
Department of Health, Education and Welfare (herein called the "Government"),
for a grant under Title I I I of the Older American Act of 1965, for the
purposes designated in the said application; and
WHEREAS, said application has been submitted, subject to the Gilroy
City Council adopting this resolution approving and authorizing the City
Administrator to execute said application and to act as City's correspon-
dent and duly authorized officer in all matters relating to said applica-
t i on ;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Applicant
that the said application, a copy of which is attached hereto, be and the
same is hereby approved. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and
directed to execute the said application in the name and on behalf of the
Applicant, in as many counterparts as may be necessary, and the City Clerk
is hereby authorized and directed to affix or impress the official seal
of the Applicant thereon and to attest the same. The City Administrator
is directed to forward the said executed counterparts of the said appli-
cation to the Government, together with such other documents evidencing
the approval and authorization to execute the same as may be required by
the Government. The City Administrator is further authorized to act as

City's correspondent and duly authorized officer in all matters relating to
said application.
