RESOLUTION NO. 1561
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY PROCLAIMING GILROY SPRING
CLEAN-UP WEEK.
WHEREAS, for the purpose of attempting to reduce fire waste
and beautify the City of Gilroy, the Council of the City of Gilroy finds
and determines that it is in the best interests of the people of this City
and the preservation of their property to proclaim the week of May 2nd
through 8, 1971 as a week for cleaning up all dangerous rubbish, junk, news-
papers and the like, so as to reduce the possibility of spontaneous or acci-
den ta 1 i gn i t i on.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Gilroy in conjunction with Santa Clara County does hereby proclaim the week
of May 2nd through 8, 1971 to be
GILROY SPRING CLEAN-UP WEEK
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Gilroy, County
of Santa Clara, State of California, on this 20th day of April, 1971, by
the following vote:
