RESOLUTION NO. 1568
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRAWING FROM THE GILROY
RURAL FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF GILROY
UNDER THE DESIGNATION "RESERVOIR B ANNEXATION 70-4 TO THE CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 14th day of April, 1971,
been annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the designation of I'RESERVOIR B
ANNEXATION 70-4 TO THE CITY OF GI LROY" the following described property
located in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, to wit:
BEING a portion of Ranch Lot No. 11 as shown on Map No.7
accompanying the Final Report of the Referees in the Las
Animas Rancho Partition Suit, Action No. 5536 had in the
Superior Court of the State of California, in and for the
County of Santa Clara, and being more particularly described
as fo 11 ows :
"BEGINNING at a 4" x 411 post designated I'C.W.A. 3"
at the southeasterly corner of that certain 9.310
acre parcel of land shown as Parcel 2 of Record of
Survey Map fi led for Record in Book 211 of Maps at
page 53, Records of Santa Clara County, California,
and running thence along the southerly line of said
Parcel S. 760 59' 0911 W. 10.65 feet to a 1 inch iron
pipe; thence along the southwesterly line of said
Parcel N. 380 33' 11" W. 33.00 feet; thence leaving
said line N. 650 30' w. 140.00 feet; thence N. 180
45' w. 90.00 feet; thence N. 600 00' w. 108.00 feet;
thence S. 610 30' W. 134.00 feet; thence South 163.29
feet; thence East 353.68 feet; thence S. 500 50' E.
86.59 feet; thence S. 330 12' 5111 E. 40.42 feet to
an angle point in the southwesterly line of Mesa Road
(Miller Avenue); thence along said southwesterly line
N. 00 171 20" w. 27.45 feet and N. 330 121 51" w. 80.80
feet to the point of beginning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 1.277 acres
Recorded in Book 9142 of Official Records at Page 239 therein,
and
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were at the
time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the Gilroy Rural Fire
District, and the Council of the City desires that said territory so annexed be
withdrawn from said fire protection district.
NOWp THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory hereinbefore des-
cribed and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "RESERVOIR B ANNEXATION 70-4 TO
THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the Same is hereby withdrawn from said Gilroy Rural
Fire District.
