RESOLUTION NO. 1570
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRAWING FROM THE GILROY RURAL
FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF GILROY UNDER THE
DESIGNATION IlMANTELL! NO.2 ANNEXATION 70-14 TO THE CITY OF GILROYII.
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 20th day of April, 1971, been
annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the designation of IIMANTELL! NO.2 ANNEXATION
70-14 TO THE CITY OF GILROYII the following described property located in the County
of Santa Clara, State of California, to wit:
BEING a portion of the Solis Rancho in Santa Clara County,
California, as patented, and being more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
"BEGINNING at a point in the northerly line of Lot 7 as shown
on the IIMap of the Subdivision of the Lands of S. p. Fine in
the Solis Rancho, Santa Clara County, Californiall, which map
is filed for Record in Book F-2 of Maps at page 46, Records
of Santa Clara County, distant thereon S. 890 501 W. 343.08
feet from the most northwesterly corner of Tract No. 4849
IINorthwood, Unit No. 211, as shown on the Map thereof filed
for Record in Book 271 of Maps at pages 8 and 9, Santa Clara
County Records, said point of beginning being also the south-
westerly corner of Mantelli Annexation 70-9 to the City of
Gilroy, and running thence along the northerly line of said
Lot 7 S. 890 50' W. 240.95 feet to the intersection thereof
with the southerly prolongation of the westerly line of Parcel
IIA" as shown on Record of Survey Map fi led for Record in Book
203 of Maps at page 43, Santa Clara County Records; thence
along said prolongation and the westerly line of said Parcel
"A" N. 00 10' 22" W. 772.85 feet to the northwesterly corner
of Parcel "NI (at 23.76 feet the southwesterly corner of Par-
cel "A"); thence along the northerly 1 ine of Parcel "All being
also the southerly line of the Northwest Annexation 65-1 to
the City of Gilroy N. 840 1410111 E. 305.46 feet to the north-
easterly corner thereof; thence along the easterly line of
Parcel "A" S. 00 101 22" E. 778.90 feet to the southeasterly
corner thereof in the northerly line of Mantelli Drive; thence
along the southerly line of Parcel "All S. 890 501 w. 63.05
feet to the northwesterly corner of Mantelli Annexation 70-9
to the City of Gilroy; thence along the westerly line of said
Annexation S. 00 10' E. 23.76 feet to the point of beginning,
and
CONTAINING THEREIN 5.463 acres",
and,
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were at the
time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the Gi lroy Rural Fire
District, and the Council of the City desires that said territory so annexed be
withdrawn from said fire protection district.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory hereinbefore des-
cribed and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "MANTELL! NO.2 ANNEXATION 70-
14 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is hereby withdrawn from said Gilroy
Rural Fire Districto
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of May, 1971, by the following vote:
