RESOLUTION NO. 1593
RESOLUTION OF THE GILROY CITY COUNCIL ENDORSING THE REGIONAL
CRIMINAL PLANNING BOARD CONCEPT AND THE EXECUTION OF JOINT
EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT TO CREATE THE SANTA CLARA COUNTY
REGIONAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING BOARD.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Gilroy City Council that the regional boards approach
for criminal justice planning and for the formation of regional criminal justice
planning boards for the purpose of assisting the California Council in carrying
out the provisions and purposes of the Federal Omnibus Crime Control and Safe
Street Act of 1968 is endorsed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certain Joint Exercise of Powers agreement en-
titled, "Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement for the Creation of the Regional
Criminal Justice Planning Board", is hereby authorized and directed to execute
it.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Gilroy, California, this
7th day of September, 1971, by the following vote:
