RESOLUTION NOo 1597
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GILROY FOR JOINT CITIES - COUNTY POLICY
REGARDING OFF SITE ADVERTISING SIGNS ADJACENT TO COUNTY EXPRESSWAYS
WHEREAS, SCCAPO and the PPC have previously adopted policy resolutions
calling for strong sign control regulations to promote excellence of develop-
ment (Resolution recommended by SCCAPO and adopted by PPC April 25, 1968); and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that the County Expressways be protected
against the distracting and unsightly effects of off site advertising signs,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT off site advertising signs should
be prohibited within 600 feet of any County Expressway.
PASSED AND ADOPTED This 4th day of October, 1971, by the following
