RESOLUTION NO. 1602
RESOLUTION OF THE GILROY CITY COUNCIL AMENDING SECTION I I I, H,
OF THE PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS ENTITLED "TRANSFERS.'I
WHEREAS, the present requi rements of subject IITransfers'l are not
equitable for all employees; and
WHEREAS, the Personnel Commission at their regular meeting of October
28, 1971, did recommend an amendment to said Personnel Rules and Regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Section I I I, H, of the Personnel
Rules and Regulations be amended as to read as follows:
'IAny employee, who has completed his probationary period and
desires to transfer to another department or division within
a department, must apply in writing and will be required to
participate in written and/or oral examination(s). The ap-
pointing authority will finally determine if the employee1s
transfer is for the best good of the City1s service. Place-
ment on the established salary range will be in accordance
with the employeeJs ability to perform the new duties.11
