RESOLUTION NO. 1470
PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF NON-CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY OWNED BY THE CITY
SITUATED WI TH IN THE UNINCORPORATED AREA OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the HOEY PROPERTY, hereinafter referred to as HOEY
ANNEXATION 70.2 TO THE CITY OF GILROY and more particularly descrt bed in
that real property description contained below. is territory owned by the
CITY for Golf Course purposes, is situated within the unincorporated area
of the County of Santa Clara. and Is not contiguous with the CITY; and
WHEREAS. on May 6, 1970. the LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION
of Santa Clara County approved the annexation of HOEY ANNEXATION 70-2 TO
THE CITY OF GILROY;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by
the City Council of the City of Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State of
California that pursuant to the provisions of ArtIcle III, Chapter 1, Part
2, Division 2, Title IV, commencing at Section 35201.5 of the Government
Code, the City Council hereby petitions the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the
County of Santa Clara by requesting its approval of the annexation of
HOEY ANNEXATION 70-2 TO THE C ITV OF GI LROY, as sai d real property is
shown upon that map which is marked Exhibit "A", and is more particularly
described in that description marked Exhibit "B", both of which exhibits
are annexed hereto, and by this reference Incorporated herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk 15 authorized and
is hereby directed to transmit and file certified copies of this Resolution
with the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of Santa Clara County for action thereon.
