RESOLUTION NO. 1494
RESOLUTION HONORING THE MEMORY OF MR. J. RUSSELL
DUKE, GILROY AUXILIARY POLICE DEPARTMENT CAPTAIN
WHEREAS, Mr. J. Russell Duke faithfully served his fellow citizens
as a member of the Gilroy Auxiliary Police Department from 1957 forward; and
WHEREAS, his devotion and service was outstanding as exemplified
by the following positions he fulfilled as a member of the Gilroy Auxil iary
Police Department:
PATROLMAN
SERGEANT
LIEUTENANT
CAPTAIN
Captain Duke further served as the Auxiliary Secretary.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, The Gilroy City Council, representing
the People of Gilroy, hereby honor the memory of Captain J. Russell Duke
and publicly notes his exceptional devotion and loyalty to our community.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of August, 1970, by the following
