RESOLUTION NO. 1505
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCil OF THE CITY OF GilROY WITHDRAWING FROM
THE GILROY RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN
RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF GILROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION
"HOEY ANNEXATION ]0-2 TO THE CITY OF GllROYI'.
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 8th day of July, 1970, been
annexed to the City of Gi iroy, under the designation of IIHOEY ANNEXATION 70-2
TO THE CITV OF GilROY" the following described property located in the County
of Santa Clara, State of California, to wit:
"All that certain real property situate in the County of Santa
Clara, State of California, described as follows:
BEING a portion of the Solis Rancho in Santa Clara County,
California, as patented, and being more particularly described as
follows:
BEGINNING at the corner designated "0-9" at the southwesterly
corner of that certain parcel of land conveyed by grant deed from
Josephine Hoey to the City of Gilroy, recorded in the office of
the County Recorder of Santa Clara County, California in Book
8791 of Dfficial Records at page 12 therein; said point of begin-
ning being the same 110-9" corner as described in Ordinance No.
607 "Ousley Park Addition" annexing 95 acres to the City of
Gi lroy;
Thence along the northeasterly line of said 95 acre parcel S. 460
50' E. 680.06 feet;
Thence leaving said northeasterly line N. 310 16' W. 971.21 feet
more or less to the most northerly corner of said parcel conveyed
from Hoey to the City of Gilroy;
Thence S. 10 16' E. 365.00 feet to the point of beginning and con-
taining 2.034 acres of land more or less".
and
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were at the
time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the Gilroy Rural Fire
Protection District, and the Council of the City desires that said territory
so annexed be withdrawn from said fire protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory hereinbefore described
and so annexed to the City of G i 1 roy as "HOEY ANNEXATION 70-2 TO THE C 1 TV OF
GllROY'1 be and the same is hereby withdrawn from said Gilroy Rural Fire Protec-
tion District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of August, 1970, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCil MEMBERS: Batrez, Duffin, Kennedy, Pate, Silva, and
Goodrich.
NOES: COUNCil MEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCil MEMBERS: Wentworth
