RESOLUTION NO. 1506
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCil OF THE CITY OF GilROY WITHDRAWING FROM
THE GilROY RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN
RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF GilROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION
"RES ERVO I R A ANNEXATION 70- 3 TO THE C ITY OF GilROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 8th day of July, 1970, been
annexed to the City of G i I roy, under the des i gnat ion of "RESERVOI R A ANNEXATION
70-3 TO THE CITY OF GllROY" the following described property located in the
County of Santa Clara, State of California, to wit:
'~II that certain real property situate in the County of Santa Clara,
State of California, described as follows:
BEING a portion of Lots 8 and 9, as shown on !'Map of a Subdivision of
the lands of S.P. Fine in the Solis Rancho, Santa Clara County,
California", recorded in Book "F-2" of Maps, at page 46, Records of
Santa Clara County, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeasterly corner of lot 7 in the centerline of
Morey Avenue as shown on said Map;
Thence along the northerly line of said lot 7 s. 890 50' W. 1477.02
feet;
Thence S. 00 10' E. 433.40 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
said True Point of Beginning being the northeasterly corner of that
certain 1.794 acre parcel conveyed by grant deed to the City of
Gilroy from Guerino D. Pappani et aI, recorded in the Office of
the County Recorder of Santa Clara County, California, in Book
8515 of Official Records at page 48 therein;
Thence following the boundaries of the said 1.794 acre parcel the
following courses and distances:
S. 00 10' E. 250.00 feet; S. 890 50' w. 295.00 feet;
N. 80 08' 10" w. 252.44 feet; and N. 890 50' E.
330.00 feet to the True Point of Beginning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 1.794 acres".
and
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were at the
time of such annexation, included In and formed a part of the Gilroy Rural Fire
Protection District, and the Council of the City desires that said territory
so annexed be withdrawn from said fire protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory hereinbefore des-
cr i bed and 50 annexed to the City of G i 1 roy as "RESERVOI R A ANNEXATION 70-3 TO
THE CITY OF G IlROY" be and the same 15 hereby withdrawn f rom sa i d G i I roy Ru ra 1
Fire Protection District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of August, 1970, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCil MEMBERS: Batrez, Duffin, Kennedy, Pate. Silva, and
Goodrich.
NOES: COUNC Il MEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCil MEMBERS: Wentworth
