RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION FOR MUNICIPAL OF-
FICERS TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF GILROY ON
APRIL 8, 1969, AND FIXING THE TIME THAT THE
POLLS SHALL OPEN AT SAID ELECTION FROM 7:00
A.M. TO 8:00 P.M.
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Gilroy fixes April 8,
1969, as a date for holding a general election in the said City
of Gilroy for the elective officers of the City at which time
three (3) members of the Council shall be elected; and
WHEREAS, the law applying to a municipal election requires
that the Council provide for the giving of notice of the election
and fixing the time when the polls shall open and close;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a general election shall
be held in the City of Gilroy on the said 8th day of April, 1969,
for the purpose of electing three (3) councilmembers; that the
said Clerk give notice of the said election in accordance with
law and to perform all other acts which are required for the
holding and conducting of the said election; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the polls shall be open between
the hours of 7:00 o'clock a.m. and 8:00 o!clock p.m. and the notice
of the election shall so state in addition to all other matters
that are required in said notice.
