RESOLUTION NO. 1320
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GILROY PROVIDING FOR THE
CONSOLIDATION OF THE REGULAR ELECTION PRECINCTS FOR
CONDUCTING THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
IN THE CITY OF GILROY ON APRIL 8, 19699 FIXING POLLING
PLACES AND DESIGNATING ELECTION OFFICERS FOR SAID
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Gilroy, California,
that it is hereby ordered as follows~
Sec. 1. General Munic,ipal Electiono A general municipal
election has been called and ordered to be held in the City of
Gilroy, State of California, on Tuesday, April 8, 1969, for the
purpose of electing certai,n city officials.

Sec. 20 Polling Places and Election Officers. There will
be five voting precincts for the purpose of holding the general
municipal election, consisting of consolidations of regular elec-
tion precincts established for holding state and county elections,
or a consolidation of some or all of such precincts, as follows:

Sec. 3. Notification to Election Officers of Appointment.
The City Clerk shall notify the election officers of their appoint-
ment at the times and in the manner provided by law.
~ec. 4. Compensation of Election Officers. Compensation of
each Alection officer, except inspector, is hereby fixed at $ 15.00
for services to be rendered in connection with said election.
Compensation of inspector, for such services, is hereby fixed
at $ 20.00
Sec. 5. Time When Polls Kept Open. At said election the
polls shall be opened at 7:00 o'clock in the morning of the day
of said election, and shall be kept open until 8:00 o'clock in
the evening,of the same day, when the polls shall be closed,
subject to the provisions of Sections 14436 and 14437 of the
Elections Code.
Sec. 6. Publica~ion of Notice of Election Officers and Polling
Places. The City Clerk shall cause to be published once in the
Gilroy Evening Dispatch, a newspaper of general circulation pub-
lished and circulated in the City of Gilroy, a notice entitled,
"Election Officers and Polling Placesll, said publication shall be
completed not later than twenty (20) days prior to the election.

correct copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Gilroy, California, at a meeting
thereof held on the 17th day of
