RESOLUTION NO. 1353
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A GRANT APPLICATION UNDER
TITLE I I I OF THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT OF 1965.
WHEREAS, The City of Gilroy, organized and existing under and by virtue of
the laws of the State of California (herein called the IIApp1icantll), has heretofore
submitted an appl ication to the Cal ifornia Commission on Aging, State of Cal ifornia,
acting on behalf of the U. S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare (herein
called the IIGovernment), for a grant under Title III of the Older American Act of
1965, for the purposes designated in the said application; and
WHEREAS, said appl ication has been submitted, subject to the Gilroy City
Council adopting this resolution approving and authorizing the City Administrator
to execute said appl ication and to act as City1s correspondent and duly authorized
officer in all matters relating to said application;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Appl icant that the
said appl ication, a copy of which is attached hereto, be and the same is hereby
approved. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to execute the
said application in the name and on behalf of the Appl icant, in as many counterparts
as may be necessary, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to affix
or impress the official seal of the Appl icant thereon and to attest the same. The
City Administrator is directed to forward the said executed counterparts of the
said appl ication to the Government, together with such other documents evidencing
the approval and authorization to execute the same as may be required by the Govern-
mente The City Administrator is further authorized to act as City1s correspondent
and duly authorized officer in all matters relating to said application.
