RESOLUTlON NO. 1362
RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL ADOPTING BUDGET FOR SAID CITY FOR FISCAL YEAR 1969-
1970 AND APPROPRIATING PROPOSED EXPENDITURES FOR PURPOSES SET FORTffi IN BUDGET.
WHEREAS, the City administrator has prepared and submitted to the
City Counci I a budget for the City of Gilroy for the fiscal year 1969-1970 and
said Coumci] has carefully examined and considered the same and caused certain
changes to be made therein before adopting the same, and
WHEREAS, the said Council did thereafter fix the 16th day of June,
1969 at the hour of 8:00 6tclock p.m. as the time, at the Council Chambers in
the City Hall at No. 10 South Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California, as the time
and place for a Public Hearing on said proposed budget and caused a notice there-
of to be published not less than 10 days prior to the hearing, in the Gi Iroy
Evening Dispatch in accordance with Section 1102 of the City Charter and had
copies of said proposed budget available for inspection by the public in the
Office of the City Clerk at least 10 days prior to said hearing, and
WHEREAS, said Public Hearing has been held at the time and place
as hereinbefore fixed and as advertised and no one appearing at said hearing
to object to or oppose any part or item of said proposed budget, and
WHEREAS, the Counci I did after the conclusion of said Public
hearing further consider the said proposed budget and made certain revisions
therein without increasing the total proposed expenditures beyond the anticipated
revenues and surpluses for said fiscal year, and
WHEREAS, the said proposed budget as finally revised provides for
anticipated revenues totalling $ 2,637,171.00
, besides anticipated un-
expended balances existing in various funds on June 30, 1969, amounting to
$ 823,924.00
, and anticipated expenditures totalling $ 3.149.7~5.00
and said budget is now before the Council for adoption and said Counci I is satis-
fied with said budget as finally revised.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and it is hereby ordered that said
proposed budget as revised be and the same is hereby adopted as the budget of
the City of Gi Iroy for the fiscal year 1969-1970 and that a certified copy of
said adopted budget shall be placed on file in the Office of the City Clerk and
be available for public inspection and that other copies thereof be made avail-
able for the individuals and agencies and organizations as specified in Section
1103 of the Charter, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that from the effective date of the budget,
the several amounts stated therein as proposed expenditures shall be and become
appropriated to the several offices, agencies and departments for the respective
objects and purposes therein specified.
