RESOLUTION NO. 1381
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY AUTHORIZING
PARTICIPATION WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR COOPERATIVELY
PURCHASING CERTAIN BUDGETED VEHICLES.
WHEREAS, the City Council has budgeted three (3) police sedans
and one (1) 3/4 ton pickup truck for purchase during the 1969-70 fiscal
year; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does recognize that substantial savings
can be realized by purchasing in large quantities; and
WHEREAS, by joining in cooperative purchasing with the State of
Cal ifornia for said vehicles, we can enjoy said savings;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council does here-
by authorize the Purchasing Agent to enter into a cooperative purchas-
ing agreement with the State of California to obtain three (3) police
sedans and one (1) 3/4 ton pickup truck. Said vehicles are to be 1970
models.
