RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GILROY TO THE SANTA CLARA COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY
FORMATION COMMISSION RELATING TO THE DETACHMENT OF
TERRITORY FROM THE GILROY RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DIS-
TRICT

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Gilroy;
1. That it does hereby request the Santa Clara County Local
Agency Formation Commission to approve the detachment of the territory
described in "Exhibit A", attached hereto and made a part of this Reso-
lution, from the Gilroy Rural Fire Protection District.

Act of 1965.
3. That the territory proposed to be detached is uninhabited.
4. That It Is desired that the proposed detachment provide for
and be made subJect to the following terms and conditions;
None.
5. That the reasons for this application are:
The territory described in "Exhibit A" has been
annexed to the City of Gilroy. City is prepared
to assume fire protection services in this ter-
r i tory.
6. That it is hereby requested that proceedings be taken for the
detachment hereinabove proposed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to file a
certified copy of this Resolution with the Executive Officer of the Santa
Clara County Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Gilroy on this
2nd day of January, 1968, by the following vote:

WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 6th day of June, 1966, been
annexed to the City of G 11 roy, under the des I gnat t on of "RONAN A VENUE ANNEXA-
TION 66-1 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" the following described property located In
the County of Santa Clara, State of California, to wit:
BEING a portion of the "Map of the North Gilroy Tractll as shown on the
map thereof fi led for Record in Book I'W" of Maps at pages l4 and 15,
Records of Santa Clara County, California, and being more particularly
described as follows:
"BEGINNING at the southwesterly corner of Lot 3 in Block 4
as shown on said Map and running thence along the southerly
line of said North Gilroy Tract N. 880 35' E. 464.46 feet to
the southwesterly corner of that certain parcel of land de-
scribed in the Deed to Elizabeth Williams recorded in Volume
981 at page 538, Official Records of Santa Clara County;
thence along the westerly line of said parcel N. 10 25' W.
100.00 feet to the northwesterly corner thereof in the center-
line of Ronan Avenue; thence along the centerline of Ronan
Avenue N. 880 35' E. 826.54 feet to the intersection thereof
with the c~nterline of LilAY Avenue; thence along the center-
line of Lilly Avenue N. 13 29' W. 189.90 feet to the inter-
section thereof with the easterly prolongation of the line
common to Lots 1 and 4 in Block 3 as shown on said map;
thence along said prolongation and the northerly line of
Lots 1, 2, and 3 in Block 3 and Lots 1, 2, and 3 in Block
4 s. 880 35' W. 1,251.30 feet to the northwesterly corner of
Lot 3 In Block 4 as shown on said Map; thence along the
westerly line of Lot 3 in Block 3 and the westerly line of
Lot 3 in Block 4 S. 10 25' E. 285.70 feet to the point of
beginning, and CONTAINING THEREIN 6.485 acres."
