RESOLUTION NO. 1213
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY HONORING THE RETIREMENT OF
MR. SYDNEY S. JOHNSON.
WHEREAS, Sydney S. Johnson, has dutifully served the City of Gilroy
for approximately twenty (20) years as City Attorney and is now retiring, and;
WHEREAS, he has always discharged these duties with the highest sense
of professional abi lity and integrity, and;
WHEREAS, Sydney S. Johnson has always and willingly taken time from
his very busy schedule to provide legal guidance to the City Council, various
Boards and Commissions and Staff, and;
WHEREAS, his counsel has given legal direction to many major City
projects, and;
WHEREAS, Sydney S. Johnson has always been a valued and cheerful
f r i en d ,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City
of Gilroy that we hereby extend our most sincere thanks to Sydney S. Johnson
for a job well done and wish him every success in his continuing private
legal practice.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of January, 1968, by the following
