RESOLUTION NO. 1214
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY HONORING THE RETIREMENT OF
MR. MIGUEL MARTIN.
WHEREAS, Miguel Martin has loyally and dutifully served the City of
Gilroy for thirty-two (32) years, with major portion of his career as a
Foreman in the City Department of Public Works, and;
WHEREAS, Miguel Martin, in addition to filling the position of
Foreman has always responded to needs of the publ ic and the City regard~
less of the hour of day or night, and;
WHEREAS, Miguel Martin has through his personal perception and mech-
anical ability made numerous improvements and repairs upon City owned equip-
ment that resulted in substantial savings to the taxpayers of our community,
and;
WHEREAS, Miguel Martin has now reached the City's compulsory retire-
ment age,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City
of Gilroy that we hereby extend our sincere thanks to Miguel Martin for a
job well done and wish him a long and enjoyable retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of January, 1968, by the following
