RESO LUTI ON NO. 1221
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY GRANTING TO
CERTAIN EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATIONS IN THE CITY SERVICE, A SALARY
INCREASE AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PERSONNEL COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Personnel Commission, that the pre-
vailing wage rates for public and private employment in the area have risen, and;
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council to maintain City salaires in a
relatively competitive level with the salaries paid to public and private
employees.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the various employee classifications
in the City service, with the exception of the City Administrator and City
Attorney, shall be granted a two and one-half (2t) percent increase in their
appropriate ranges that are established in the Gilroy City Code, Section 17.9
and Resolution No. 1008.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shal I become retroactive
to January I, 1968.
