RESOLUTION NO. 1242
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF AN AMENDED APPLICATION WITH PUBLIC
UTILITIES COMMISSION FOR THE CLOSING OF CROSSING NO. E-80.8 AND THE
OPENING OF TENTH STREET AT GRADE ACROSS THE TRACKS OF THE SOUTHERN
PACIFIC COMPANY WITHIN THE CITY OF GILROY.
WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy did on March 16, 1967, file
an application with the Public Utilities Commission of the State
of California for the closing of crossing No. E-80.8 (Ninth Street)
and the opening of Tenth Street at grade across the tracks of the
Southern Pacific Company and;
WHEREAS, said application was given the number 49211 and;
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to amend said application
to show changes in trackage and street grades;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Gilroy does hereby authorize the filing of an amended
application before the Public Utilities Commission of the State of
Cal ifornia, for the closing of crossing number E-80.8 and the open-
ing of Tenth Street at grade across the tracks of the Southern Paci-
fic Railroad Company within the city limits of the City of Gilroy,
and that it does hereby authorize the execution of said application
by the Director of Public Works, on behalf of City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of February, 1968, by
the following vote:
