RESOLUTION NO. 1266
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE REPORT OF THE PLANNING
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF GILROY PROPOSING A
PRELIMINARY GENERAL PLAN AS MODIFIED FOR THE CITY
OF GILROY
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy
has heretofore held hearings in accordance with law upon a
proposal to adopt a Preliminary General Plan for the City of
Gilroy dated April, 1968, and h as made its report to the Council
of said City of Gilroy by its Resolution No. 397 of May 17,
1968, in which it recommends that said proposed plan, as modified,
be adopted; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to sections 65355 et. seq. of the Government
Code of the State of California the Council of the City of
Gilroy has heretofore fixed the 17th day of June, 1968, at the
hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City
Hall, Gilroy, California, as the time and place for hearing the
said report and recommendation of said planning commission,
notice of said hearing has been given in accordance with law
and the Ordinances of the City of Gilroy, and the Council now
having proceeded to the hearing of said report and recommendation
and having duly considered the same and determined that the
said report should be adopted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said proposed
Preliminary General Plan for the City of Gilroy as described in
Gilroy Planning Commission Resolution No. 397 be and the same is
hereby adopted as modified by the planning Commission as the

General Plan for the City of Gilroy subject to the following further
modification:
1. The alignment of West Leaves1ey Avenue shall be adjusted
to conform to the boundaries of the proposed Northside Park.
2. No barrier nor closing of We1burn Avenue shall be indicated
between Church and Hanna Streets.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 17th day of June, 1968, by the
