Resolution 1270 RESOLUTION NO. 1270 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE CHIEF OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SETTING FORTH THE DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY, THE OWNERS THEREOF, AND THE COST OF ABATING THE NUISANCE CAUSED BY THE GROWING OF WEEDS AND ACCUMU- LATION OF REFUSE IN THE CITY OF GILROY, AND PROVIDING THAT SUCH COSTS SHALL CONSTITUTE SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AGAINST THE RESPEC- TIVE OWNERS OF LAND. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said report of the Chief of the Fire Department of the said weed and refuse abatement under the resolutions referred to, is hereby accepted and confirmed; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution and of said report of the Chief of the Fire Department be turned over to the County Assessor and County Tax Collector which constitute the Assessor and Tax Collector, respectively, of the City of Gilroy, after the expiration of ten (10) days from the adoption of this resolution, pursuant to Section 12.55 of the Gilroy City Code, and the amounts shown on said report as the cost of the removal of the weeds and refuse from each of the respective properties shall be and constitute a special assessment against the res- pective parcels and constitute a lien on the property for the amount of such assess- ment respectively, and the said Tax Collector shall add the amount thereof to the next regular bil I for taxes levied against respective lots and parcels of land for municipal purposes.
