RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION FOR MUNICIPAL OF-
FICERS TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF GILROY ON
APRIL II, 1967 AND FIXING THE TIME THAT ~HE
POLLS S~L OPEN AT SAID ELECTION FROM 7:00
A.M. mo ~OU.P.M.
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Gilroy fixes April II,
1967 as a date for holding a general election in the said City
of Gilroy for the elective officers 'of the City at which time a
Mayor and three (3) members of the Council shall be electedi and
WHEREAS, the law applying to a municipal election requires
that the Council provide for the giving of notice of the election
and fixing the time when the polls shall open and closei
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a general election shall
be held in the City of Gilroy on the said 11th day of April, 1967,
for the purpose of electing a Mayor and three (3) councilmembers;
that the said Clerk give notice of the said election in accordance
with law and to perform all other acts which are required for the
holding and conduct of the said electioniand
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the polls shall be open between
the hours of 7:00 o'clock am. and 7:00 o'clock pm. and the notice
of the election shall so state in addition to all other matters
that are required in said notice.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of January, 1967, by the fol-
lowing vote:
