RESOLUTION NO. 1079
GILROY HOUSING PROJECT
WHEREAS, there exists a need for low-income single family
dwellings in this area; and
WHEREAS, the Progressive Self-Help Housing Enterprises of
South Santa Clara County Inc., in conjunction with the Farmers Home
Administration and the Building Trades Unions can see the development
of these homes; and
WHEREAS, a Committee of prominent leaders of our community
are backing this project; and
WHEREAS, the success of this program is based on a total
community effort;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the members of the Council
of the City of Gilroy go on record in favor of this project; and be it
further
RESOLVED, that said Council will help move this project forward
in any way possible.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Gilroy
this 6th day of February, 1967, by the following vote:
