RESOLUTION NO. 1087
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ESTABLISHING THE MAXIMUM RATE SCHEDULE TO BE
CHARGED BY AMBULANCE OPERATORS WITHIN THE CITY
OF GILROY.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy has heretofore adopted
Ordinance No. 727, licensing and regulating the operators of private ambu-
lances, Section 24 of which Ordinance provides that the Council shall estab-
lish and keep on file with the City Clerk a maximum rate schedule which may
be charged by ambulance operators licensed under said ordinance within the
City of Gilroy and that said rates shall be established by a Resolution; and
WHEREAS the City Council has duly considered the rates to be
charged and has determined and does hereby fix as the reasonable maximum
rates to be charged by the said ambulance operators the following:
Basic Charqe:
Per stretcher patient. . . . . $30.00
Per sitting patient, if only
one (I) patient in vehicle. . 30.00
Per sitting patient, if second
or ad~itional patient in vehicle. 20.00
plus $1.00 per mile up to 50
miles, 75C per mile thereafter.
Additional Charqes:
Night charge (between hours of
6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.) . .
Oxygen (Per cylinder). . . .

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the above schedule of rates be and
the same is hereby adopted as the official charges to be made by the operators

of ambulances in the City of Gilroy until such time as this schedule may be
changed by resolution of the Council. Resolution No. 870 adopted October 19,
1964 is hereby rescinded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of said rate schedule shall be
posted in a conspicuous place in each ambulance and shall also be posted in
the premises where said ambulances are stationed.
